Today I changed clutch cable to a motion pro one and the actuator to a 650 one that runs on bearings and has a slightly longer arm, what a difference in pull force, much easier and it was not heavy before neither.

Been working from home I’m reduced hours so lots of time for boring stuff like painting and garden! Getting through the list!! More interesting got the J on the ramp finishing off all the snagging list that never got finished and quick service.. Ready for action when the time comes!

Now then Bill,
I should have been out your neck of the woods this weekend! The beer festival at the Old Hall followed by a curry in the Curry Cabin!

It’s a very different weekend to what I had planned and I’ve been rebuilding a very, very early CX500 motor. It’s number 4, the 4th one ever made and it’s a sandcast prototype!

Also refinished the switchgear for the A1!

Keeps me out of trouble!

Hi Bill,
There’s nowt bodged about any of your bikes or restorations, they all look great!

When did the Curry Cabin catch fire? Is it totally burnt down? I never heard anything on the news.

Thanks Piggy. Well happy with it just hoping I can get some more use of it this year but guess that’s not starting off well!

What else I have done in isolation is getting shit faced too many times and having the wrath of Mam in the morning! Me and bunch of guys from work have a group thing going and just keeps turning into a massive sesh! Oh well not too worry it’s getting us through I guess. Lol.

Thanks for comments! Yes ZXR750 H2 - this was my best friends bike who sadly was killed in an accident when he was vey young, it’s not really my bike I only regard myself as the custodian of it until his son is old enough to be handed it. He’s got a few years to go so I will be keeping it a bit longer. I did a refresh on it last year as had been off the road a long time and took it to the IOM TT 2019. Great fun bike.

Oem rear shock is pretty stiff on them though isnt it Lee. Swopped my H1one out for a fully adjustable ohlins jobbie just to make it bearable for more than a 50 mile jaunt.
