It was a weird kind of day today. Normally a huge day down under was left reeling because of the 'Virus'. However an idea was generated and it spread, quicker than wildfire and was embraced by those across the nation. Instead of the normal practice of gathering at our local Cenotaph to remember those who have fallen for our freedom the idea was generated that all and sundry gather at the end of their driveway at 0600hrs with candles to remember.
All reports are that this was done, East to West, North to South.
To my friends from the Northern Hemisphere, thank you for your kind messages and thoughts on this very special day for us down here.

Good stuff.people staying united
Did make me smile when it was said people were encouraged to stand outside their homes with a lit candle - not very enviro-friendly
