Digging through a pile of old books yesterday and found this. Thought it might be of interest as to how the 650 was viewed back in the day. Published by John Nutting of Motorcycle which I think was the predecessor of MCN I believe. Click on each page for full screen view.

Some of know how great the Z650 was and still is. Why it has never reached the later demand of other 4's and triples when it was an iconic but much better bike of its time... remains an enigma

Dont know Charlie. Unless its a specific 900 meet or a long haul when I use the zrx, I use a 650 everytime. Just as quick, better handling, more comfortable and less likely to get nicked
