Hi,
Can anyone recommend someone who would do a nice job of restoring a leather jacket? I've got a nice old mid-eighties (I think, it looks sort of slabside GSXR/gpz600 style) black and red Fieldsheer jacket that is a keeper but it's got seriously tatty.
Preferably in the south west but that doesn't matter too much.
Thanks, Olly

If it doesnt need any stitching just get some saddle soap. Use a damp, not wet, cloth to apply and leave to soak in. Repeat the process a few times to feed the leather then give a good buff with a soft cotton cloth. Then just repeat with a single application at the start and end of each season.
Leather is tough stuff and you will be surprised at the difference before and after

Thanks, but it's got rips, scuffs, worn out cuffs, soggy lining. If it was just saddle soap and minor stitching I'd do it myself or get it done locally.

You must love it, it sounds wasted and ready for the tip.

Maybe, depends on how expensive it is to fix it up a bit.

I used
https://scrubbersleathers.co.uk/ to clean and restore my A/stars one-piece leathers plus boots and favourite gloves. Damien did a brilliant job (all hand cleaned and conditioned) at a price comparable with dry-cleaners (DON'T USE THOSE FOR BIKE KIT!).
Was well pleased with the quality and it's certainly extended the life of the kit. Check out the videos on the website as well.
