Radiator

I’ve got a Z1R-d model it has a radiator attached to front of frame but I’ve just seen another Z1R with out one , does it mean it was a turbo model Mine is a 1978 model think came from USA or Canada does anyone know why it has a rad thanks

Radiator or oil cooler? Most oil coolers are fitted aftermarket and especially in countries where heat is an issue, post a few pics of it.

It’s most likely an aftermarket oil cooler, more than a few will say take it off as it’s not necessary in our climate but belt and braces..

it can't be a water radiator as they are air cooled !!!! unless the top end has had some major alterations

Yes think it’s a oil cooler I asked a mate to go round to have a look at it and he says it’s a oil cooler I will put some pictures on

I do not believe the Z1R-TC turbo came with an oil filter. The need for an oil cooler would depend on the use of the bike and climate. In the UK it's doubtful if you'd need an oil cooler if bike used for Road use.

So the Z1R-TC turbo didn't have an oil filter ??
