Racefit at NEC

#1 PostAuthor: sanderz » Thu Nov 24, 2011 1:49 pm

Had a good ol' chat with Jon Keeling of Racefit at the NEC yesterday. The exhaust on show is what drew me in - pure titanium.

When he told me it was for a Z1.... well i was hooked. The quality of the welds is second to non and the whole thing weighs approx 3kg - in laymans terms sweet F.A.

Image

Course the offset for 'sweet an light' is around £1500 (thats with the VAT) lovely piece of kit though!!

Think i've got this right - the Z1 they built featured in Performance Bikes has now undergoing a transformation for 2012 (it was sold on, then bought back needing a few parts) so there using Z1R bodywork and have altered the frame - shocker angle being one mod There also doing a Mk 2 and all being well will be showing them at a London show in Feb (MCN?)

A good lad to talk to and says "if yer in the Matlock area call in for a brew, we'll have the kettle on" top man in my book.

Phwoooooaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr... the Z1 isn't a case of "I need a nappy to clean this mess up", but more of the " where's the mob 'n' bucket" kind.

Stunning.

Guyzed - admittedly im the same its a lot of money in my book ......but... if was going 'all out' on a build i think one of these would be on the list.

TLC - Yeh, they'll make to your spec. Not just exhausts think they'll do frame work as well. Are you 'having one' for your latest project?

Nanno - it is 'porn' isn't it

Another of theres -

That`s the plan. Saving money where I can to afford one but I will.
I`ve kept a tally as to the spend so far.

Just put a picture of it in the Encyclopedia Britannica under the term "porn"

Love it... but that exhaust costs more than my RatZ has cost up to new incl. all running costs and mods. :|

Cheers,
Greg
