What jackets do you guys reccomend, I'm in Brisbane and will need one when the bike gets here, but I have never ridden in Australia and need some advise :?:

something with vents or mesh for sure. My UK stuff was far too hot for WA so I now have a US made jacket with zip out liner and vents front, rear and on the sleeves. I might also be buying a lightweight cordura and leather trim jacket so I can cool down even more I reckon.

One problem is that I keep burning my wrists on a 20mm band between the top of my gloves and the start of my cuffs. I keep thinking about putting sunblock on but keep forgetting. It hurts like a bastard and looks mental as!

See what I mean? (You will also see that I will not be doing any hand modelling any time soon):

No mate, left the UK 9 years ago this January originally from NW, spent three years in NZ but had to leave due to losing my sence of humour. Been here for coming up to 6 years now, fisrt bike in Australia!
Looked and looked but there bloody expencove down here, ended up buying a Z1000R from a bloke in the UK, just waiting for it now.

Them three of yours look very nice. :D

I bet you can't wait, mate!

I am lucky with my bikes - we get to ride a lot over this side as the roads are quiet and as you know the weather is always good!

The latest addition below - not quite ready yet but almost there. A big thanks to RGH for all his help - and bench space for months on end! Sorry but pic quality is a bit shit as from my phone.

I fancy one of those Lawson's - I reckon the UK is the best way to go for them. How much was your shipping?

Nice cave, just bought one of them stands, well the same as yours!

The best way to go re customs is the pre 89 rule, with this you don't pay GST on the purchase, but you do pay GST on the shipping and insurance.

The shipping, insurance and bike landed in Brisbane Port was a tad over $7K, there was an ELR on ebay over here a few months ago that went for just short of $11K so I think I'm on a winner with this, not that I'm going to sell,
wanted one of these for well over 25+ years.

Hi Paul

I have known the big lad all my life - what a great dude he is! He will have a few tales to tell I reckon. Old Local 52 was a hard act to follow that's for sure.

1. The pipe is a piper style from Dave - what a piece of work it is and sounds sweet as;

2. I have been caught out by my rucksack antics - bloody hell;

3. If you ask Gez he will tell you my rucksack is full of family bags of Maltesers and wine gums at all times;

4. I seem to recall a mini camo rucksack was spotted at the Griffin a little while ago ... any comments on this one?

All the best, mate!
