Sun was shining - break out the Zed

#1 PostAuthor: Tonto » Wed Jun 20, 2012 5:18 pm

It seems ages since Ive been out on the Zed, due to the Monsoon and her ongoing "issues": so today as the sun was shining I decide to ignore the clutch slip, hardly any front brake (well she has a good back one) and the oil leak, and go and explore the back roads of quite old Lincolnshire - so glad I did.

50 miles later - big smile and happy Zed owner - still not sure how they designed something so right all those years ago !

Bring on the summer (and some front brakes)

Tonto What is wrong with front brake ?

Is that piston on the master cylinder big enough to cope :?:

Thanks for the comments guys: glad I went out yesterday as its thrown it down all day today !
Twozeds: the brakes are a real bitch: maybe a candidate for the "bike help" pages. I recently changed from alloys to wire wheels, and since then I get really bad symptoms of a warped disk when applying the brake (almost un-rideable at low speeds); but the calipers are in good trim and the disks are true ? So I am flumoxed, and being "mechanically impaired" can't seem to fix it - arghhhhh  it really does spoil the ride every time I go out on her.
Cheers Tim

Tim those calipers look huge compared to the std ones, I wouldn't be surprised if you had a bit of a balance issue with so much weight hanging off the bottom of the forks. I agree with the other comments about the paint, it looks fantastic.
