Quick dash - 2nd day of Spring in Tasmania

#1 PostAuthor: Z903 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 8:51 am

Didn't want to hijack old mate's WA thread, so I'll put up a new one.
Finally got the old girl (Z1-A) out after it's Winter hibernation.....Well, mine anyway.
The engine has had mods done by the PO and I've been fiddling around to correct rough low down running, since fitting original type carbs.....and it seems to have worked!
Just need to go back to a 15t front sprocket now as it's just not pleasant pottering about at slow speeds.
But had a great run along the river.......

looks good - both bike and weather!

I got out again today and got well and truly soaked to the skin! Showers - my arse. What a freezing, jean soaking, 'underpants stuck to me' (even more than usual) whore of a day.

and to top it all I got flashed by a speed camera heading home in driving rain that I have not felt the likes of in many years. The perils of an open face and squinting to ease the needle strikes. Bugger.

I am a fair weather rider for sure. Still, the weather is going to be getting better- I hope.
it's always good to be out

Love the bike especially the subtle colour scheme.

is it just me or does the bridge in the background on the first picture look like its fallen over.

Where did you get the handle bar fairing from ?

Can't beat good Tassie weather! Actually the East Coast of Oz is predicted to fall under an El Nino effect this Summer, so should generally be warm and dry....no excuses for not riding this season.

That bridge is an "A" frame suspension type, you can see the cables stretching over the "A" (crooked bit) Has some claim to fame....biggest of type or some such, can't remember at the mo.
Fairing is made by an Oz company, Prixhistoric Fibreglass.
