B2's Christmas Eve Test Ride

#1 PostAuthor: Richard L » Wed Dec 24, 2014 3:09 pm

Frohe Weihnachten as they say here,
Couldn't believe my luck today, after weeks of grey wet misery finally managed to get the bike out . December in Germany is usually a no no for motorcycling but there has been no snow yet so the roads are free of the horrible goo that melts the ice . As any eagle eyed viewers may notice I have managed to aquire ( My original 1100r wheel from the 80's ) and fit an 18 inch front wheel to my B2. and today was its debut. Handling is definitely improved, faster steering and less effort at the bars but I will not be challenging any R1's through the twisties just yet!!
Hope there is some good weather in England in the hols and all the best for the new year
Richard

Hello Richard,

funny to meet a German biker here with a GPZ. Just got my GPZ1100UT from Frank in Lorsch.
Do you know him ? Welcome to join the

Hi Peter
Your unitrak looks stunning , not many nice ones left. No I do not know Frank from Lorsch who is he ? Looks like I should pop down to Murr in May , there doesn't seem to be a big Z following here in Heidelberg . Wish my german was as good as your english !
All the best
RICHARD

What a lovely b2 you have Richard. I love the subtle modifications you have done. Very nice scenery too, if I show my daughters they will want to go to Germany again as they love it over there. Happy new year everyone.

Happy New Year
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. I should have kept my mouth shut about the super weather we were having . Since Christmas it has snowed on and off everyday . Oh well time to get on with all those niggling faults , upjetting , slipping clutch etc etc.
Richard
