Damn good find that Crofty
That looks so right for the year too.... so many are missing the original parts but that looks spot on mate.
If you need any help with contacts for parts etc. then just let me know, either PM me or email me.
I have a good contact for the screens and all bodywork.
Myself, I manufacture the absolte best Rickman decal kits available in any colour you like. Absolutely perfect replicas of the originals that nobody else can offer! I also have copies of the original Rickman workshop manual and parts catalogue (really helpful if you intend stripping it at some point).
If you ever remove the rear wheel, watch out for the correct 4mm spacer that's inside the speedo drive, this isn't even shown on the Rickman parts pages but is oh so important fi you don't want to crush your speedo drive! I also make 30mm preload spacers for the front Betor forks that are hollow so you don't end up over pressurising the hydraulic fluid but offer a little more resistance.
The chain guard you have is probably the most cherished original part of the bike and worth £400+ on it's own. Don't EVER sell it!
The wheels look like the original 2.25" Ronal 18" jobs to me. Best tyres I found were the Pirelli Demon Sports; 110 on the front and a 130 on the rear. Although the 130 might seem a bit big, it worked perfectly on my 200+ bhp Saxon Turbo so I can vouch for good handling etc.
The seat you have is the 3/4 unit, the chain adjustment rings are still available direct from Metisse UK.
The U-section rubber seal on the petrol cap often perishes and these really are no longer available.... I bought the last 7 seals from Rimmer Brothers a few years ago, kept two for my S+S Silver Saxon and sold the remaining stock to a Rickman nut in Oz. The fuel cap is from the early pre 1978 version of the Triumph TR7 sports car.
The rear shocks too look like the original Girling Gas items, again well worth keeping and restoring.
Shame someones drilled the top RH side of the fairing to attach a mirror, originally they were not equipped with mirrors but an easy fix.
Hope some of this information is useful to you and please don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help.
