Road Trip

We seem to spend so much of our time here showing, discussing and researching about the rebuilds of these wonderful machines and not so much about being out and about enjoying them as they were intended to be. So here goes a plan I have for this week. The 'Plan' is a somewhat loose plan. I have a few spare days this week so taking the MkII for a ride around the bottom of Western Australia. Around 1800km over 3 or 4 days.
Home from work tonight to try on the bag set up and do an oil change
This is the rough ( very rough ) intended path of travel. ( Clockwise )
I'll try drop a few travel pics on the way if anyone is interested.
( Plan is to leave around Wednesday our time down here.)

Yes please plenty of pics please Nico, if we did 1800kms even as a round trip here we'd end up very very salty and wet.

The Mkii took offence at me riding my non Zed and threw a tantrum this morning. She flooded herself and tried to flatten her battery so much that it took the trusty kick starter to get her mobile then on the shake down a main fuse went. Was it an omen, who knows but what the heck. Finally left home a little later than planned but all good. Weather was overcast to start with but the further east I got the finer the skies.Made my destination today a little town called Hyden. No other issues on the way except for a brown snake rearing up at me on the road as I went past at 120kph. Hyden is home of Wave Rock, Google will tell you more. A few happy snaps..

Stunning , the wave rock looks like a massive wall of death. Keep them coming just what we need to see on a miserable day in Blighty

I sympathise with you, the weather here is shite too....... Apparently
And to give perspective to the wave
& its goodnight from down under. Plan is to do a lazy 390km ride to the white beach sands of Esperance tomorrow . Will try and post more next stop.

Made it to Esperance, a few minor glitches raising their head but nothing to be too concerned about.
Today's pics for you lot up there.

Yes Warren it's hard with this sun
But my biggest dilemma is that the front Pirelli has gone
off big time.
I have sourced a new one so a gentle 500km ride over to Albany for a replacement tomorrow. Thanks to Albany Motorcycles

Great pics
Nice bit of adventure. I always kept some baby wipes in my bag and after cleaning my visor, I's wrap them around the fork stanchions overnight to soak the dried bugs off and save the fork seals.
