Run out on the H2
Took advantage of a dry day to do a few running in miles after its full engine rebuild
behaved faultlessly but certainly doesn't like only revvin to 4000 then again neither do i

Hi Bill
take it easy! You know their nickname: "widow maker" . Give the engine the time to run in and after a few hundred miles of calm riding you can enjoy her revving up and hear her scream of joy.

Re: Run out on the H2
Owned a H2B a few years ago. Fantastic soundtrack and a proper giggle on throttle. Sadly the off throttle surging combined with all the other little H2 'quirks' spoilt the fun a tad for me.

Re: Run out on the H2
Mines not bad for surging at low revs even better when i put the more free flowing
Higgspeeds on, yes they sound great with either exhaust system on, if these old
bangers didn't have "Quirks" it would spoil the fun for me anyway

Re: Run out on the H2
It is one of the best bikes from the 70's
It would be nice to see an echo of this in the latest H2 but unfortunately I do not see it.
Your photo locations show it well!

Re: Run out on the H2
No, I offered to take him to Rufforth today but he said he had stuff to do at home, the one that's on here with the engine noise, 1973 was in Barnsley, he went to have a look last Sunday, the bloke said he could have it for 11g, said he had a specialist look at it so probably the one off here that some one was interested in, still a nice73 though even though it needs a rebuild.
