The A4 hit 70k on the way to a HD dealer.....

Pictures if you've gone for a nice run out and Zed spotting.

The A4 hit 70k on the way to a HD dealer.....

#1 PostAuthor: Andrew_s » Mon Mar 28, 2022 4:59 pm

Well, my A4 hit 70,000 miles today (now 70,0040) on route to Newlands Corner Guildford via the local HD dealer (who was closed!) - 42,872 were put on by Phil Churchett (1983 - 2010). I bought PRE 2R from Peter Kinloch (FloydZ1) in May 17 with 67,038 on the clock. So I've put a little over 3,000 on, not too bad considering I surrendered my license for over a year after my stroke in June 19, then Covid kept us all at home for about 18 months.

At 65 in November, I think I may be mentally mature enough to own a HD (as a stablemate to the A4 and XL250), but not sure which one so I'm doing a bit of research. I fancy doing a bit of touring in Europe - any recommendations from the HD owners amongst us?

Hi Andrew, I bought a Road King last year, and I bloody love riding it, it’s so easy ride. Only down side are the prices Harley charge for services, as long as you can change oils and pads etc you will save a small fortune.

Hi FOZ1A,
That's one on my list and good news about being easy to ride, did you buy it from Guildford HD?
Whereabouts in Surrey are you, maybe we can meet up and chat in more detail?

Bought it from Guildford Harley. Happy to meet up, maybe Newlands
Corner, you can take it for a spin.
