Earth point

#1 PostAuthor: chrisw1 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 11:42 pm

Hello , could someone tell me where the battery is earthed to the frame on a Z1b please

I presume the black and white flying lead goes to the loom earth near the brake switch wires ?

Thanks Chris

Hi Chrisw1
the battery is earthed to the right hand side of the engine, just above the kickstarter housing and below the rear upper mounting bolt of the engine. There's an opening in the upper cranckcase in which you bolt it on with an M6 bolt, the wire is black and approx 6 mm in diameter. The thick black wire has a thinner black/yellow wire where it connects to the negative pole of the battery. That thin black/yellow wire can be connected to the main loom .
