#1 PostAuthor: damien.wrl » Sun Feb 18, 2018 5:45 pm

Don’t want to have highly polished alloy but would like to take some of the darkness out of the engine.. close to factory fresh as possible

Thanks

Depends on how much Patina you wan't to leave (if any) I used Putoline Chain Degreaser and a Scotchpad wrapped around a screwdriver to clean the block/fins, but as said it takes time and effort.

Only 18. There's only one "Z", the other "Z" would have to be by using a blank tile worth zero.
Assuming no double or triple squares are involved.

OK, now I'm off to search eBay for "A life"......

Maroon Scotchbrite pad and brake cleaner. I have read that Steve Smethurst suggests carb cleaner for aftercare degreasing but i am lead to believe that brake cleaner is kinder to rubber seals. Either way, just spray on and wipe off before it dries.
