KZ900 Hi/Lo switch

#1 PostAuthor: 1975-S1C » Fri Aug 30, 2024 7:24 pm

The usual problem.
The Hi/Lo switch has broken off where the screw passes through.
Does anyone have a spare part from inside the left switchgear ?
Zpower sell them but they are out of stock just now.
Cheers

I assume that this part is common across many Kawasaki models of the time. Rummaging at an autojumble near you might pay dividends. You might ( say) find that the z200 had a similar high/ low switch that you could strip out . And because its not a sought after model, it might be only a pound or 2 from the seller, glad to be rid of it.

Trouble is, by time you have paid shipping you might as well buy a complete repro switch and cannibalise it

In the end I bought the replacement part on eBay. The part was considerably less than the shipping !
But hey ho, it’s fixed now.
Thanks
