That's fine, I am in no big hurry so winter sometime suits me, just let me know and thank you for bothering. Good luck with the winter rebuild.

Apologies RRS Tuck, I did not realise that the answers were not directed at me, newbie here I'm afraid. I stand corrected.

No problem, I just bought another st but american import with 80mph clocks too. Funny thing is, my other two St's are UK bikes from new but one of them has 80mph speedo too. If I get any good leads I will let you know. I have been looking into how to recalibrate the speedo but don't know if it can be done. Watched a guy on YouTube recalibrate a speedo but was a different bike so might not work the same on an st. If I figure it out I will give you a shout.
Re: Z1000 ST, UK spec speedo and cam cover
You like ST's then.
I swapped a restored Yam 350LC for this ST and a CX500. Just using it for general ride about with. What i dont like with American bikes is the fact as soon as you turn on ignition , it lights up like a Christmas Tree with headlight and indicators. So decided to change it to UK spec.
I do have a mint Z1000 MK2, as i had one back in 79/80. But that stays indoors. So the ST would take its place as a nostalgic ride.
I have seen someone who restores bike clocks, but cant remember where i saw it from, ill keep looking. Thing is if we recalibrate then the milage will be as is, where as if another clock is used, will have incorrect milage, assuming it was right in the first place.
Clock faces are easier to source.
Ill let you know if i find anything.
