Nahhhh
I still need a set of carbs .I now know I need a set of Z1B type carbs.I think I may hang on to the other set in case I am ever lucky enough to get an original 73 Z1.

Can't say more than to refer to Dogsbollocks for information on carbs, but thought this document might be of interest to some as it gives a definitive engine number for the change. It's part of a load of Kawasaki Service Bulletins that Jerry has sent me for uploading onto the next version of Anoraks' Corner/archive.

I knew the carbs in my pic were not Z1-A but it now sounds like they're not quite early Z1 either.
I'm sure I remember reading a post from WiredGeorge - The carb guy, stating that all Z1-A's had the big nut on the bowls with no change until Z1-B but obviously that wasn't quite right either.
It's all a learning experience though......which is why this site is so good
