Thanks guys
Have posted a picture of the newly MOT'd bike on the Discussion Board under 'The Long Haul - Finished'.
She rides great, and after a few teething problems, namely smoking like a crop duster, she is a dream to ride. Totally unlike my Z550 or the ZR7. The Z1 has an almost gutteral roar when you open the taps, and speed seems to come from nowhere in a completely unflustered manner, its absolutely addictive.
The only down side is the weight, no problem when on the move, but hauling her around when you are 5'7" and 11 stone takes a lot of concentration. I wouldn't like to have to pick her up !!!
