I have always liked the twin 750 but have often wondered what went wrong the day someone designed the side panels.

On the Ltd version, the sidepanels don't extend forward over the vertical frame tubes and makes it look a lot better.

Correct, and from memory they fit the early B model frames.

I totally agree with Kev,i think the original designer musta been lookin at the lid of his Tupperware lunch box whilst smokin some illegal herbs at the time...
