A very good friend of mine had an 1100R back in the day and would dearly love another,
Not a bike I know much about, being an old git!
But has anyone out there got one they would consider selling?
Many thanks. Frank

A genuine one is a rare beast now days. plenty of look a likes so do your research on frame and engine numbers.
But it could take a good while to find one if no one in the club has one they want to sell.

He'll need deep pockets for a genuine one, even a decent replica of one won't be cheap.

A good friend of mine in Cornwall has one that I know he is considering selling - and its genuine. If you PM me your email address I can put you in touch and then leave you to discuss further.

If your pal does get a z1100r be aware some parts are like rocking horse shit for availability. Such as the handlebar fairing and carb parts, so when they come up for sale 2nd hand you either have to buy regardless of price. Or figure out a work around that may not include original items. I know, i have had to make that choice with mine.

What Swampy says is true, and it's often cheaper to fit upgrade parts rather than Kawasaki originals, Wiseco 1170 pistons are cheaper than Kawasaki oversize ones (if you can find them) and Dyna ignition is cheaper than the Kawasaki igniter box.

Yes it can be hard to find bits for them but usually if you search long enough You will find them
I needed a set of carbs and ended up with three sets

If he want to sell the standard pipes please let me know?

I think the cleanest Z1100R was Paul Ruddy's bike, also the Z1000R was a special bike and a great rebuild thread as well.
