Z900 Brake Calipers

#1 PostAuthor: Jay1969 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 12:36 am

Any condition considered, must be Z900 A4 though not Z1000 or later models.

Thanks.

This is an a4 one, should have 42mm piston, calipers can go left or right side, mounting bracket for rh is slightly diff but left one can be adapted, just got bits together for mine and was lucky i had a rh mounting bracket...

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter

The only details of piston size I know are that the Z1000 pistons are slightly bigger in diameter. I think the hose attaches at an angle on the 900 A4 rather than in
the middle on the Z1000's, other than that I have no pics.

What about the details of the calipers on your A4? I can't get any pics of a standard set.
More fool me I sold mine to Hinckley for his A4 as I was planning on an usd fork mod,
but alas my budget won't stretch that far.

Thanks for your help.

These guys have the parts 38mm on the thou, thou and a4 brackets are the same but rh and lh though can be adapted,as are the disc rotors ,a4 bleed nipple is in line with brake connection which uses the metal pipe brake union. There is a a4 caliper as i posted at Dk its pricey but they always accept lower offers,in my experience...

Jay I have,
1 x In front of leg either side angled center Feed and center bleed with 42mm piston
1 x behind leg near side, center feed / front bleed with 42mm piston
2 x Behind leg off side, center feed / front bleed with 42mm piston
All with pistons either out or free.
Plus brackets.
All will need a good refurb/rebuild with seals etc.

Ok, so out of that lot, can you sort me out a matching pair, and how much do you want?

The only matching pair there would be behind the leg ones same as my twin disc 650 pic but A4's have them in front of the leg. You could swop the legs over and have them behind the legs but the fork oil drain hole will then not be at the lowest point. If you have a look at my twin disc pic thats what I had to do.
If you have one in front of leg one then you could match up with the in front of leg unpainted one.
