Hi all
Just discovered my Z1R has 26mm carbs fitted instead of 28mm
I know I’ve just missed a set, but does anyone have a set for sale?
Thank you
Frank

Re: Z1R Carbs
Hi Frank
if you don't find carbs of a Z1R you could allways use the carbs of a Z1000ST. There are some differences but when you plug the hole of the vacuum lead of the third carb body you can use them on your bike.
They're allso 28 mm carbs. I use them on my Z1R and it performs really good!

Re: Z1R Carbs
Thank you Philippe, I will bear that in mind if all else fails.
Are the 28mm carbs off the early Z1’s Z1a/b compatible, are there many differences? Anyone know? Thanks

Re: Z1R Carbs
the early Z1 carbs have a lot of differences but the main one is the flat tops on the early carbs and the much higher " domed " tops on the z1000 / Z1R ....... they wouldn't look right really

Re: Z1R Carbs
Hi frankz1a
Z1A or Z1B carbs would allso do the job but they're difficult to synchronise... that's why a lot of owners changed them for Z900A4 or Z1000 carbs back in the days.
It's not that difficult to find a set of ST carbs.
Just take your time and go for a genuine set for your Z1R. After all the weather now isn't inviting for a ride and especially when you have the original cable operated front brake on your Z1R ! Mine works hardly when it's raining.
Good luck
