Hi all, I'm looking for, Z900 A4 tail piece and side panels.. On the panals must have all tabs in place.. All in origenal condition ( not in primer) I have a tank,( in green) just trying to make up a paint set up, then off for paint.. Drinks tokens waiting..

the club do excellent repro panels,better quality too ,i reckon.£100.for all 3 inc postage. see your yearbook for details..page 83. good luck.

If you're going to repaint, then why do they need to be in original condition?

They need to be original, with original paint, so there's no nasty filler and dodgy repairs hiding underneath, that can lift if not done properly, and ruin an expensive paint job.. I know this because my z900 A4 tank blew from the inside out, as it had a liner, that failed and 2 big blisters ( filled with petrol) on the left side of. the tank,the petrol was being held in by paint and filler. I could of repaired, but it would have gone in another place. So bought another tank in original faded paint, no liner inside, had it painted, and the painter matched the colour exact, to the side panals, and that is what i had on the club stand at Stafford last October .. I don't like tank liners or a tank done in primer for that reason.. This is photos of the tank with blisters..my bike now has another painted tank on the bike .. I know side panals and a tail piece has no petrol in it, but would like original parts.. Rant over..

why spend all that time and money on 30+ yr old plastic when you buy new for £100.chec with ya painter
i dont botha with second hand tanks .you can buy em new for £200

I agree neil,more like 40yrs+ tho. .what is original? may I ask? ,I'd say it is how it came new:it can only be original until it's changed in any way..and I think "original" is overrated n just making life harder for the rivet counters who mingle amongst us..I propose an annual z1oc golden anorak award!! all replies to jerry..:-)

No offence taken Mark.. It's just that I've got hold of an original tank in the original paint, and just thought I'd ask if anyone had any origenal ones, would like to keep it all the same, then get them repainted...

Still looking.. Anyone got some.. Come on don't be shy.. You know you have them lurking in the back of the garage, under the bench at the back on the right.. By those cans of paint..
