Z1R Handlebars

#1 PostAuthor: walshyco » Mon Feb 19, 2018 2:59 pm

Hi all, am I right in thinking Z1R handlebars are the lowest bars to be fitted to Zeds, and does anyone have a set they would be prepared to part with. TIA. Sean. :D

Hi Sean

I'm afraid you're thinking wrong. The Z1R handlebars are not the lowest mounted on a Z, the standard low handlebars of a Z1000A2 or of a Z1000ST or Z1000MK2 are a bit lower. The difference is not very much maybe 1 or 1/2 inch .
I don't have a spare Z1R handlebar, sorry.
Greetings
Philippe

I always thought Z1R bars were lower than an A2
However you may be correct Philippe.
I have both and to me the 1R definitely feels lower and narrower.

Are you saying you have both sets of bars that you wish to sell?

I have a Z1R (D1) and a Z1000 A2

A2 bars are I believe slightly lower than predecessors - (A1 and the 900's.)

Z1R bars are definitely lower and narrower than A2

I do not wish to sell the bars on either bike!

i don't think the rise is more than 2 inches so these would probably do the job but you would have to drill your own holes for the switch wiring
