Wanted Z1000 complete bike £4k give or take. North

I did spot this, but when I typed in the frame number it was sold on this group just in January for 2500 by a guy Ultim8pc . The tank is different colour now but kinda felt 1500 increase in 2 months was a big jump. I would have rather had it for the 2500

Yes that was the bike I sold. It's funny, I struggled to sell it and since I have, I've had lots of enquiries...
To be fair they did replace the bodywork with something infinitely better, a decent exhaust (as it had 4 slash cuts), sorted the brakes a bit of other fettling..
I didn't think they'd sell if at £3995, but it sold quickly.

Yeah to be fair if they have sorted out a few issues and spent some time on it then I appreciate the investment to make a small profit.
I'd much rather people did this than the "gas monkey" style of flipping a bike and not bothering to do anything with it. Looks like they get a few bikes in from USA, going under the name Z1 Classics so I will keep an eye out and see if they get anything else in.

Just got my May edition of Classic Bike today and see there is an advert for a 1980 Z1000 - apart from a yellow frame (personal choice of course...) it looks good in the small picture. He's asking £1,500 ono - seems cheap. Telephone number is 0208 - 3910357 (Surrey) in case you are interested.

Don’t think you will get a matching numbers bike. Engine to Frame numbers are normally 200 - 500 numbers apart.

Good find guys. I was straight onto this. All sounds like a good bike, however V5 not in the sellers name, selling on behalf of an old friend...... honestly, it's never easy. Anyway I know someone who lives down that way so going to ask them to pop over and check it out tomorrow.
I said I would leave a deposit if all seems legit and get a courier to bring cash and he suggested I do a bank transfer to him...... I said no need, I'll pay cash.
I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for this though. I had missed this one. Just what I'm looking for.
