Hi All

As mentioned on my intro post I'm looking for a big Zed. Had several Kawas over the years but looking for a Z1000. Happy with an import. Like an LTD ideally still with the duck tail. I've put £4k, I would like to come down a bit for a project, but can go up a little. Prefer the Mk1 over the Mk2 but still love both. Would like a running riding bike. But No doubt I will get all the "you won't get one for that money" but I know they are out there.
Im in scotland, happy to travel. I see DK motorcycles selling Z1000ltd projects for 3500 etc but thought I would try on here first as would be good to get something with a bit info behind it from someone who knows the bike. I've done plenty of research. I had a couple of classics before so really just hoping someone is looking to sell something they are not as fussed about. Although I know you all love to hoard your bikes only kidding.

I did spot this, but when I typed in the frame number it was sold on this group just in January for 2500 by a guy Ultim8pc . The tank is different colour now but kinda felt 1500 increase in 2 months was a big jump. I would have rather had it for the 2500

Yes that was the bike I sold. It's funny, I struggled to sell it and since I have, I've had lots of enquiries...
To be fair they did replace the bodywork with something infinitely better, a decent exhaust (as it had 4 slash cuts), sorted the brakes a bit of other fettling..
I didn't think they'd sell if at £3995, but it sold quickly.

Just got my May edition of Classic Bike today and see there is an advert for a 1980 Z1000 - apart from a yellow frame (personal choice of course...) it looks good in the small picture. He's asking £1,500 ono - seems cheap. Telephone number is 0208 - 3910357 (Surrey) in case you are interested.
