I have been/am chasing a low speed fault round a Z1000 and would like to eliminate the ignition system.
So..I would like to purchase, if anyone has one spare, a complete points set-up, ie backing plate, points, condensers, advance unit and points cam.
I know the advance unit is used on most electronic conversion set-ups, so may be the trickiest bit, so I would be interested in everything else including the cam, which I can fit on my advance unit.
Thank you.

Re: Points
I have most of a Z1000 (early type) advancer.
It is missing; the cam (did have a Dyna 'S' on it) now long gone, and unfortunately it is also missing the two tiny damper pads from the bob weights.
Mechanically it's otherwise sound with good springs,... its marked 005.
Yours if you want it its no use to me.
Have you still got the tiny thin shim behind the cam on top of the base plate?
If so you could try taking it off, ive known them to crack and jam the cam!

Thanks Al, but that's the bit I do have with the Dyna pick-up fitted.
