Due to the valve seats being heavily corroded on this TC thanks to shit water injection, the seats are beyond saving. They would require so much recutting that the amount that would have to be removed from the top of the valves is not possible.
Therefore I think it might be a better idea to replace the head if anyone would be willing to sell me one.
Good price paid, don't mind stripped threads but must have excellent seats and no or very minimal fin damage.
Thanks Will

What about fitting bigger valves, which is the most common way of reclaiming worn seats and the real reason most heads get larger valves.
Unless the pitting is horrendous this will put the valve seat area further out on the unworn portion of the seat and you get to retain near max shim sizes.
Depending on the damage you may have to go 31/38, open the throats to match and use the GPZ11 inlet valves to ensure safe valve to valve clearances.

It's an option I will look into if I can't get hold of a head.
Thanks

Can't Buzzard help? (Buzzworks).

Failing that there is a company in Slough who can mill out the old seats, fit new ones, over size OD if necessary and re-cut a 3 angle seat.

PM me if you want their contact details.
