i think you need to provide a bit more info on what you consider 'nice'

nuts and bolts standard
with/without 4:4
restored ?
non standard but a good runner ?
Modified ?

This will help you get the correct replies you want

Hi,
Fair point. Looking for a machine as original as possible. (restored to that state or genuine unrestored) Ideally with 4 into 4 system. Happy to discuss any machine and decide whether its a possible. Happy to also work on machine to get the bike back to standard but price would need to reflect this.

Based in York ,so hopefully not too far away if possible. That said I would travel for right bike.

Don't get too hung up on the 'realistic & fair price' thing. Your buying a 40+ year old classic bike so there's never really a 'standard' price.

Don't be frightened to stick up your budget, just because you may have 'X' number of ££'s doesn't mean everyone's going to ask you for all of it for some poorly restored bitsa.

Also, if you spot something post it up on here and you'll get chapter & verse on the bikes condition, originality and price..... all for free. :D

I think a member on here is wanting to sell his nice Z1. I'm sure he'll be along shortly!

Thanks for advice. Appreciated. Not in a great rush. Prepared to wait until right bike comes along.
Be nice to get one from someone that has hopefully cared for it.
