why dismiss an ltd? same frame as an a1 but frame numbers slightly different..a1=kzt00a and ltd=kzt00b. I'm not a streetfighter fan personally n think your plan would detract value from the original bike, whereas putting the same energy n money into summit like a cheaper bandit or zephyr might actually add value n cost less to source a donor/victim.if tax exemption is your driving force gs750/1000's are much more available, cheaper n take gsxr usd front ends . good luck either way. mark

Because getting an original as possible 1000a1 trumps saving money on something that isn't?

On a related note, that's why I have an 1000Ltd B1 for a Sanctuary style restomod. Would be a pity to 'butcher' a nice z900/1000a.

In summary, the older Ltd models offer a similar experience, in what is in essence the same bike, but for a lot less money!

With respect guys, it doesn't matter if anyone else does not "get it". It does not matter about value either. If the OP wants to street fighter a Z1000A1 that's his choice.

Good luck in your search Paul
