H mudguards are painted so chrome would have to be stripped anyway

Hi Bruce

the Z1R D1 has an 18" front wheel (1978)
the Z1R D3 has an 19" front wheel (1980)
I'm not sure about the D2 (only approx 250 produced)(1979)
I hope it's clear.

The 19 inch mudguards have a slight rise on the bracket

They are different

Keith can post a photo of both types
