An extremely long shot I know,
Does anyone have a front and rear rim to go on my Aug 73 z1a?
Or is it easier to win the lottery?

Rusty rims? Can they be saved? I would be very interested. Can you do some pictures?
Thanks

I take my rims to SilvaBronz, they do a fantastic job
and can replicate the linished finish as per standard
basically jap crap finish or deep chrome, the latter
will bury the stampings to the point you can just about
see them or do a rebate over them to leave as is.
Cost £125 ea plus vat but discuss that bit with them.

Thanks for that, I first need to know how bad any rims me be.
Is it a worthless task if they are a few months newer than the bike?

According to the Essential Buyers Guide , wheel rims should be older (even a couple of months ) Than the build date , but not newer , common sense really when you think about it .

If the rims I have been offered are Z1a after August then I should forget it then?
Most of my bike is Z1, small tank badge, black crancases, old switchgear etc
