Re: 28mm z1r carb
it's probably easier to find a set duane, (unfortunately) than if you try to find one! what's your dilemma?? m

I think more correctly it should be 'trying to salvage them'.
DDZs set are in very poor shape. All air screws, throttle slides and float pins seized solid. I have managed to un-seize them all barring the air screw in No4 which just cannot be removed. This issue is that they are badly seized below the thread, so even drilling out the threaded portion won't work in my experience.

Hi DDZ900
as mentioned above: Z1000ST carbs are a good substitute. The slides of your Z1R carbs fit into the ST carb bodies.
If you should use the third ST carb body, don't forget to block the intake of the vacuum hose for the vacuum fuel tap.
I use ST carbs on my Z1R and they perform very good!
Good luck!
