Z900 engine

#1 PostAuthor: StevePunk61 » Fri Apr 12, 2019 8:57 am

I'm looking for a complete (or nearly complete) 76 (or earlier) Z900 engine to fit to my rolling chassis. A 77/78/79 (round cam cover ends) Z1000 would be good too.
Thanks, Steve
There has been one on ebay for ages for £2200 but that seems a bit much to me.

every thing they sell is top wack .folk want to stop paying top prices for spares and bikes then the prices will come down .its dealers that jack there prices up for greed then less folk can afford zeds.

have you tried Z1 Classics ? ........ his prices are reasonable and there was a 900a4 engine there last time i was down there
When you think of the cost of refurbishing an engine I guess 2200 isnt that bad once the shock wears off ... a head recon and a set of pistons and a bore will be nearly a grand

Always providing the £2200 engine doesn't require refurbishing of course.
Cheers,

Mark.
