Hi guys. I'm looking for a pair of the stainless clips that cover the welds on the downpipes to collector on a 1978 z1000A2 exhaust. I have the clamps for the removable downpipes but can't find the clips for the 2 solid welded in downpipes.
Any advice appreciated

No not the heatshields. It's the small metal band that hides the welds on downpipe to collector. [image][/image]

The welded one doesnt have a clamp, it was welded the chrome plated with the downpipe and silencer in one piece. The joint is hidden by the heat sheild.
The jointed one has a clamp 92037-1258CLAMP,MUFFLER

I have an aftermarket 4into2 system and both welded down pipes had the crimped style clamp to cover the welds. I took them off because they looked nasty. I already have all the round gaskets new for all downpipes and crossover pipe. And the clamps you have suggested but they are not the ones I'm looking for. The ones that cover the welds are a round band that goes over the welds and are tightened/crushed with pliers. Part shown in photo

Oem pipes had no clamps over the weld. As yours is aftermarket your guess is as good as any. Google search and use images tab, you might see what you need.

Get your ones chrome plated?

Yep I think that's the best option for me. If OEM didn't have a clamp then mine should be ok as the original bands were only cosmetic. And as I'm having the whole system repaired and re-chromed then I think it should look ok.
