I'm in Yorkshire. If it's any use, I have an assortment of disassembled z1000 engines that i could probably make up something complete(ish).

I know its a silly question but do you have an original Z1000 A1 head that has not and does not need any thread repairs?

Not a silly question.
I do have one but it has a couple of knackered cap cap threads... And a 900 head that has been welded...

Cap Cap threads? I have one which needs a spark plug helicoil fixing and one cam shaft cap bolt thread that needs the same.

Arh so same issue as mine, I'm having mune repaired this week so I will see how it goes and if its not as successful as I'd like I'll have to keep my eyes open or let you know.
