Z1000J - Fuel Tank.

Urgently wanted due to garage fall resulting in one bike falling into another and denting tank- absolutely gutted after spending so long getting this bike ready for the road.

A good condition Z1000J - Fuel Tank - 1982 or 1983....Please.

The German gas tank is one of/for a J1/1981.
He is after a J2/J3 tank...

Finding any J tank in good is very hard indeed, so the OP's options are limited.

There's a chap somewhere near me who specialises in tank dent removal, but doesn't paint them. Apparently he dresses the dents out as best he can and then fills with lead - proper old-skool. I'll try to find out his contact details.

Where are you located, a mate of mine does Paintless dent removal and is very good, depends on where the dent is on a motorcycle tank thou, we are in Ellesmere Port Cheshire, if it's close enough, pm me and I'll pass you his details

Friend of mine has used him a few times, not cheap but does what he says. But he sometimes has to drill a hole in the bottom of the tank (which he repairs).
