Deep braced swingarm
Looking for a deep braced swingarm davida/metmachex/jmc, something that needs work going to end up black, missing bits what's out there, to go in my Z1-R may monoshock if the right arm comes up at the right price
Re: Deep braced swingarm
I have a Metmachex that I bought for my Z650, but ended up fitting another one in the end so this one has been an ongoing project really. Its not a deep brace though - its shallow brace.
Its like the one pictured, if its any good I will dig it out and take photos of the actual item - it would need painting or polishing, but its had inserts added for paddock stand bobbins. The chain guard mounts had been cut off, but I had some new ones added - they can be cut down to fit whatever setup you end up with (like I said its been work in progress for ages lol)
It would have the thicker rear axle for the Z9/1000 etc and the correct spindle adjusters cos I used the smaller axle rig on my 650
The front end is the same on all the 650/1000 etc cos I have a 1000 swinger in my 650 at the mo
Any good - give me a shout

Re: Deep braced swingarm
Thanks peeps, messages sent to both, anybody else I'm after all options
Re: Deep braced swingarm
Dero, do you know if that will fit a Z1000, coz it looks like there’s a mounting for the torque arm on there, maybe they are made to fit both? Sean.
Re: Deep braced swingarm
I’m not sure it will fit the Z1000.
I took it off a 1976 Z900, it was running a 140/ 80/18 with room at each side.

Re: Deep braced swingarm
Slightly off-topic, I know but, does that under bracing on the JMC / Metmachex actually do anything?

Funny thing similar happend once, my mate seen a yoshimura carbon end can on ebay with very light damage on the back, bearing in mind this is one of my best mates who I see probably 5 times a week, so he said I'm skint cant afford it, so with that in mind I bid on it and won it for just over 20 quid, I seen him that evening he said I got outbid on that end can, I said you know I won that end can, he bid me up i would of won it for 99p, oh well it's on his sons bike now and I'm 20odd quid down
