kev, could you possibly be a bit less vague? and apology accepted! what's the bit you need? or do you have a pic/diagram of the missing piece? I'm sure you'll find it, but more info will help. cheers m

Hi Kev
8 Valve Mark is right! Send a picture of the switch to determine what model you have. There are a few different types of switches, depending on the year of production. As Mark stated: more info will help.

The switch gear i am looking for is of a z1 900 year 72.
In the attached picture the very left hand side with the Yellow/Red and the Brown wire is the piece that is broken. It is a plastic piece with a curve attached to the wiring mentioned. It is the High & Low Beam switch. I know that I would probably need to buy the complete switch gear of a 72/73. I was thinking that someone might have a spare broken one lying around. Let me know what you think.
Thanks Irishkev

Hi Kev
as far as I can see you have the left hand switch housing but the right hand wires and switch internals.
The broken part seems to be the killswitch... or am I that wrong?
Anybody knows better?

Re: Switch Gear Left Side Z1 900
Hi Philippe
It is the left side switch gear, what you see there is part of the piece that is left.
It is missing about one third from both ends and is curved shaped.
It is used when you want to change the head light from high to low.
The switch is held in place with the small screw.
Thanks

Hi Kev
I took some pictures of the original switch gear I have. As you can see your broken part has completely different wiring compared to the part I have. Mine is from a European bike with the Pa (flasher) .
The last picture is from a replica left hand switch and shows the colours of the wires, mind it has no flasher.
The wires I see on your picture correspond to those of the right hand side switchgear (European version with parking light)
I took some pictures to show you.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate, just ask!

The attached show the left hand switch body and the internal component for the USA switch.
It only has 3 wires attached as per screen shot. Hopefully this do not cause more confusion.
This is the component I am looking for if possible.
Thanks
