As title. want z1r and mk2 metal seat bases.
ANY CONDITION..
Building a Gardner Turbo Z1R which has a MK2 tail fitted so need to make a hybrid seat that fits the z1r front mount and mk2 tail.
Mainly need the front half of the Z1R base to fit the slip on mount and tank and rear half of MK2 to fit the tail profile, rest of them can be mullerd/rotten.
May be able to use an ST or Z750 seat instead of MK2 that used a very similar tail profile..

It was my impression the bike was a MKII with a Z1R tank are you going the Z1R route because that is the frame you have?

Is this going to be a road or racer?

This is going to be an interesting build for me to watch .

Correct with the MK2 but using the Z1R because it's the frame I have and it's basically the same anyway.
Frame is registered so going to be a road going AMA rep with daytime mot .
Don't know when i'll be posting in projects, it's a very long term build that doesn't make regular progress..

Widening my search to the 1000st and Z750 L and E etc as they used the same tail profile as the MK2.
Just the one base needed.
