Yes the tap lever is new , seal has been left in boiling water for 5mins & is now in a small bag , it is soaking in silicone oil for a few days(5) ,manipulating it now & then , anyone else got any replenishing tricks for rubber ?

The red rubber grease should keep it supple.

I did put some red rubber grease on it when I put it on my tank , but to be honest the seal was more like plastic than rubber , it already seems more supple & I won`t get to try it until the weekend ,so i1l give it a good soak & apply the grease again before refitting , finger crossed Will update later .
