Maybe a silly idea. But what about soldering the crack insitu ?

Heat the tap up after stripping it down, the brass will pull out, make or buy pipe of correct size, warm up tap freeze pipe and push pipe in

I have successfully soldered carb overflow tubes in the past, cleanliness is the key and a pen torch, see no reason why should not work there.

I had the same issue.
I fixed it by pushing another piece of brass pipe over the damaged one.

I am not great at soldering, do you know where I might get a same size length of brass pipe.
