If you do happen across them I would love to borrow (Or buy) them from you.

Thanks,

Good Morning All,

I would like to thank everyone who has given input into this topic and especially Ratty who offered to manufacture some hangers.

Sadly, and by my own admission I fall into the “Rivet Counter” category and although my new replica exhausts won’t be OEM I would like to get as near as possible by using the standard mounting brackets, hence my original post to ask if anyone had a pair that they would like to sell me.

With this in mind, if anyone out there has any please PM me!

I’ve had much experience of Z’s but I am by no means an expert on originality.

I would really like to get my bike back to the condition it was when it rolled off the production line in 1977 and that’s where you guys come in. As my peers in this matter I hope in the future I can post images of it and receive your knowledgable guidance on what’s right and what’s wrong.

Hopefully, that day won’t be too far away.

Anyway, if anyone does have a pair of OEM hangers for sale, please let me know.

Best Regards.

Hi Nigel
as promised, pictures and measurements from the exhaust hangers.
The dimensions are in millimeters and are "more or less" correct...
The thickness of the steel plate is 2.25 mm
Both of the hangers have on the upper inside a rectangular cage where an M10 self locking nut with fine thread (1,25) is catched. The nut can slide in order to adjust the exhaust.
The right hand hanger is a mirror view of the left hand one, except that the left one has an extention for the rubber damper acting as a stopper for the main stand.
The cross section of the hangers is U shaped.

I hope you can do something with the pictures...
I made two exhaust hangers for my MK2 out of a steel plate.
The best thing to do is make an example out of cardboard to make sure they fit, then you can flatten the cardboard on the steel plate and draw it over . Remember the hangers aren't straight, they're bent to the inside.
Good luck!

Thanks Philippe, I am still hopeful that someone will come up with a pair to copy. However the drawing and photos should allow me to cobble something together that will look quite authentic, from 500 yards!

Nigel

I’m now only looking for a left hand mounting bracket as I’ve managed to find a right hand.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

The original post was for the part numbers detailed by Warren and these allow mounting of the Busso system to the existing A1 frame mounted hangers!

I’m with Warren and I’m not sure what’s being searched for!

Well I've got a pair of 650 ones. Not sure the offside one has the extra hole on the 650 one though. I'll have to dig em out and post a pic. Part 23 & 26
