Rickman Kawasaki 900

#1 PostAuthor: Gizburn » Sat May 16, 2020 8:15 am

Hi,
Just bought the above bike, it's a 1976 Kawasaki 900 and there are a couple of bits i require and wondered if anyone could assist me in locating these parts. A chain-guard and a speedo cable (runs from the rear wheel)
Thank-you

Hi and welcome! If you can get someone to lend you a cable, then Venhill can make you a copy.

Agree with all posts.... Venhill for the cable (which the fitting at the rear is to match the Hodna CB750).
Repro chainguard is all you'll get.

Thank-you to all your replies.
If i rang venhill direct, would they be able to do one without an original one being sent to them?
Regards

Hi,
I believe that's the frame number and meant to check when I was with the bike (as its not at my house at the moment).
I'm going to put the longer tank cover on with the single seat and colour will be black.
I have new decals and all the front fairing bits and pieces to sort!!

Frame has been powder coated unfortunately, but it's a great job they've done in all fairness.

If you are going to fit the long tank cover, have you also got the long steel tank?
If not then although you would be able to mount it, you would have to secure it at the rear with a long threaded spacer arrangement, but be warned that the rear of the tank cover can mover around a lot mounted like that and may crack the paint around the mounting.
Long steel (or short for that matter) tanks very rarely come up for sale unfortunately.
Nice bike and stick at it, you're nearly there by the looks of it.
Venhill made a cable for my old Rickman turbo but not sure if they made a pattern or not.
