Just curious as I may need one myself, which model year CB900 will fit a gpz / J motor ?

Hodna cb750 and cb900 1980-1984 are starter motors to use just the starter cable is on the side and you can file down after starter cable attached, used on my z1170R years ago with good results. Some times replacing brushes on starter motors can give good results, parts availability much better than when most Zeus where new,had them when new and still have similar now, hope this helps

Just looked it up on cmsnl ... comes up as part no 2116-31143 fits z1100 shaft, z1000j and gpz1100a1 & a2.
£65 delivered. If you want it I'll whip it off the bike and bench test it.
