Z1b Crankcases

#1 PostAuthor: relisysxx » Sun Jan 24, 2021 10:09 pm

Just putting the feeler's out as DPD have lost my crankcases and I'm not confident they are going to find them so I may be hunting for a set of Z1b cases, preferably in the 77000 region. If anyone has a set they may be willing to part with please let me know (all supposing DPD don't get their fingers out and find my originals).
TIA....Nick

The frame is just below 77000 so somewhere around that would be good.

Thanks for that Steve, those were my bloody cases! now back in my garage although I did have to buy back my own parts.
It transpires that DPD couldn't be arsed to go and look for my package and thought it would be much better to sell it at auction (even though I was phoning for an update about twice a week), the bloke that was selling bought a pallet full of quad bike parts, bike parts and bicycles.
I will now be going down the legal route to get my money back from DPD who are nothing but a bunch of crooks in my book so please do not use them to move anything you value!

Did seem a bit odd to me,your parts go missing and some very similar turn up for sale on facebook, main thing is you got them back it must have been a stressful time.Happy ending though ,lol. Braver than me sending your prized engine by post, dropped mine of to S.Smethurst for bead blasting and collected when finished as didn"t want to risk getting stuff lost or damaged.

I am really happy you got them back. That must have been a stressful episode. Hope you get full compensation and recompense for the hassle you had

I’ve been watching this thread from the start and I’m so pleased that you’ve managed to get them back!

It’s beyond belief that DPD could not only lose them, apparently, but then when they didn’t have the will or ability to return them to the sender, they simply sold them at auction! I’m astounded!

Why could they not track them back to the source? Had the label come adrift from the parcel?

It’s unbelievable but a good outcome!

To be honest I usually drop them off myself but as it was the beginning of the third lockdown I thought I would do the decent thing and send them (lesson learned there!).

Best possible outcome, apart from costing me a few quid, just need to get DPD to cough up now!
