Offer accepted. Now i just need to find a chopsaw......on second thoughts, i still have all my digits. Maybe I'll get someone who knows what they are doing to trim it down :roll:

Hi Scott. That looks like a US version with the smog plates.... I have a UK one that I had spare for my Z1000R2 which I believe fits the J.... so, if your ‘chopsaw mod’ doesn’t work out let me know...

Thanks for the offer Peter. I may come back to you on this if the US version is a problem. It should be ok, we are only trying to apply pressure to an area whilst leaving another area open for adjustment.

In this photo you can see the joyous hacksawing fun I had one sunny afternoon. Hopefully this should give an idea of what to chop and what you need to keep. :)

The main thing is to keep enough coverage across the top to correctly locate the top guide, and keep the six bolt holes.
