Re: Z1 Choke Lever and rubber tip
Does your bike have ‘CHOKE’ and an arrow, painted in red fill, on the choke lever quadrant?
Mine has, and according to John Brookes’ book used only a short cap on the lever. More by accident than design, the short Yamaha tip I used (see the posts linked to) is about right, I don’t need the long plastic cap with the kink.
As your bike is earlier than mine, it may be the same.

Here's my early type choke assembly, with the writing on the quadrant. As far as I can find out, these didn't have the longer plastic tab with the kink and the white writing on.
The rubber tab fitted is the Yamaha part, as linked to in the Facebook post above.

As a follow up Item 1 is a Z1B replica made on 3D printer , item 2 is a genuine z1 tab, item 3 replica Z1 3D printed , and item 4 is the yamaha tab which some owners have fitted

No its identical to the original which was flat that's why i made one up as some owners were fitting the Yam ones which had a different profile.
